"Bright Berry Farm"

Executive Summary

“Bright Berry Farm” has developed over the years to be a landmark address on the Great Alpine Road between Myrtleford and Bright at the previous railway station area of Eurobin. The property has become renowned for quality produce, great hospitality and overall presentation of all the products associated with the property, but in particular the variety of berries available. Consisting of a total area of 50 acres (20ha) the whole enterprise has been carefully designed and astutely developed to allow for ease of management while obtaining the maximum production from each facet of the enterprise. Vendor ownership of “Bright Berry Farm” stems back to 1992 when it was decided to create the multi-type horticultural enterprise as it stands today. Current vendors can feel proud to see the result of their tireless efforts. Quality improvements of purpose and function greatly assist the day-to-day management of this highly versatile property. “Bright Berry Farm” incorporates a substantial four (4) bedroom residence with sweeping lawns and park-like gardens. Quality purpose-built shedding, the retail outlet, the product processing area and the irrigation development were all implemented to a very high standard. “Bright Berry Farm” can be approached from several perspectives being firstly to place emphasis on the extremely attractive lifestyle associated with the property, enjoy the lifestyle and manage or lease the horticultural enterprise or, alternatively, take full advantage of the commercial aspect of the property already in place and progress this aspect of the property to a level anticipated by current vendors.

The solids are deep grey & red loam soils being higher level Ovens River flats. Current vendors made a decision several years ago to move to biodynamic farming methods which has enhanced the fertility of the already premium soils.
